General

The International Competitive Dancer Registry (ICDR) protects dancers by verifying, and anonymizing sensitive dancer data while simultaneously safeguarding their media. With time-saving tools like waiver management, the registry empowers studios and competitions to enhance industry-wide safety, fairness, pride, and opportunity.

The ICDR was built to give dancers and their guardians control over their identity, their performances, and their history.

The ICDR will be launching in the 2025 competitive season with a more robust version to be released the following season.

The ICDR simplifies the waiver process by offering a centralized waiver management system where guardians can easily sign all necessary waivers from one home platform. Studios can track which dancer families have completed their waivers, and competitions can quickly verify overall waiver status.  By adding more time to sign and alleviating the endless back and forth we are eliminating unnecessary stress and risk for all involved.

ICDR secures dancer media through two-step authentication, unique member IDs, and verified dancer details, ensuring that only authorized families can access and manage their media. Share safely by adding additional guardians. Current industry-wide redemption access codes are unsafe and leave dancers vulnerable to misuse and exploitation.

Studios, competitions, and dancers that register before August 31, 2025, will receive Founding Member status and the following benefits:

  • Free dancer registration for the 2025 season.
  • Exclusive discounts and benefits for their dance families for subsequent seasons.
  • Press opportunities and inclusion in our ICDR campaign highlights.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with our team on the development of tools and resources.
  • Showcase your early commitment to this important platform by displaying the ICDR. Founding Member icon on your website and media.

Competitions

First, thank you for showing interest in improving the safety of the competitive experience. Second, simply contact us to set up your registration.

There is never a registration fee for competitions. We are a service determined to empower our competition partners with the tools they need to produce safe, celebratory, and fair events.

Founding Members competitions will be at the centre of our press opportunities for our launch year. Positioning your competition as an advocate for dancer safety will, in turn, produce a much happier and supported clientele in a busy market where it’s tough to stand out. Additional benefits include: preferred future registration rates for their participating dance families, scholarships, and support workshops.

ICDR simplifies waiver management, secures cherished dancer media, verifies dancers and their guardians, and provides an added layer of online safety—all without cost to competitions; ever.

Competitions can use their own season-wide or per-event waiver. ICDR ensures all waivers are securely stored and accessible for families and directors with a forever home and familiar process, reducing stress, and delays for everyone.

Studios import competitive rosters, and guardians complete verification to confirm all details before an event.

ICDR ensures waivers are signed ahead of time, reducing last-minute issues. Competitions, studios, and parents can verify compliance in real time. In the case that a waiver has not been signed, simply log in to your account on-site and show them once completed. Paper copies on site should be a last resort at all times.

Dancers and Guardians

Registering to the ICDR establishes youth as official competitive dancers on an international scale. Their ICDR account will track their performances, awards, and history while offering more online protection, safety, and fairness than ever before. Once we have amassed enough dancers on the platform, the availability of support resources and opportunity multiply exponentially.

All information provided to the ICDR is used for the purpose of maintaining current and active records of dance history of registered participants including studio affiliations, attendance at competitive events, conventions, and workshops. Vital private data like a birth date is embedded and integrateable with existing media provider registration software into a dancer's exclusive ID number.

The ICDR anonymizes dance data behind an integrateable member ID number secured by two-step authentication. The ICDR ensures birthdates cannot be changed once verified.

Yes, primary guardians manage their dancer’s media access, including adding secondary guardians (e.g., in split households) with limited permissions.

Media is only accessible through verified guardian accounts. Anonymized dance data, member ID numbers, and SMS authentication ensure security.

Basic info like headshots can be updated once per season, but key details like birthdate and competitive history are locked once verified.

ICDR registration is free for 2025. A small yearly fee will apply in future seasons to maintain access and security with added benefits like accident insurance, tracked histories, registration verification; all at a reduced rate for any Founding Member.

Dancers remain registered in the ICDR, and their history follows them, but a new studio must verify them before making changes (6-month stipulation).

Password recovery is available through a secure process, requiring SMS authentication for verification.
